Wa Alaykum Assalaam

May Allaah bless you with pious children and make them the sources of happiness, blessings and mercy for the family and the whole ummah, aameen.

It is extremely important that one does not despair with the mercy of Allaah. We should show our poverty and neediness to Allaah and be contented with our fate.

Few prerequisites:


1. One must have the trust in Allah and His mercy with the hope.
2. One should strive to eliminate the obstacles in the acceptance of the supplication including a) weakness in fulfilling the obligations, b) committing sins, and c) haraam (unlawful) income.
3. One must repent sincerely with the resolve to not commit the sins again.
4. One must not violate the rights of humans. If something has happened in past, one should either expiate for it or ask the individual for forgiveness.
5. It is preferable to embellish the supplication with the salutation upon the beloved prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam




The Supplications:

In order to be blessed with pious children, one may recite the following supplication in abundance. There is no specific time or posture one has to assume for the supplication. One does not even need to be in the state of wudhu (ritual purification), however if some one is sexually defiled (after intercourse or nocturnal emission) or, in case of women during menses, one must avoid it until having purificatory bath.

Transliteration: Rabbi la tazar ni fardan wa anta khayrul waritheen



Translation: O my Lord! Leave me not without offspring, though you are the best of inheritors. (Surah al-Anbiya, 89)

Transliteration: Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibah innaka sami ul dua'


Translation: O my Lord! Grant unto me from You a progeny that is pure: for You are He that hears praye
