Millions of people in Yemen are left without safe water hygiene services and face food insecurity, among other struggles.
Yemen faces an ongoing crisis in many forms. Not only has the conflict there persisted for so many years, but it has affected its citizens severely. Children have been killed or recruited as child soldiers, women have been abused and widowed, and millions have been left with the need for support in physical and mental support forms.
You can help by supporting our mission to help those in need in Yemen. Ultimately, it will help others and be a means of doing good yourself to invest in your hereafter. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
Millions of people in Yemen can’t afford or access nutritious food to keep them healthy and well after being displaced from their homes. The conflict that has lasted for several years means food insecurity, violence, and diseases are widespread issues across the country.
In addition, over the last few years, Yemen has faced and is at risk of many natural disasters like floods, torrential rain, pollution, landslides, and droughts. These can affect the water supply and the health of those in Yemen.
Due to climate change, these natural disasters are expected to increase in frequency and severity, which can leave millions more displaced or killed.
Millions of children do not have access to clean water or medical care, which has led to a rapid increase in diseases like cholera and measles. Not to mention the Covid-19 pandemic, which has also affected healthcare services and means they are still recovering from financial hardship.
Many of these illnesses can be prevented by providing clean water or vaccines to keep children safe.
Due to the civil war in Yemen, many children have been killed, forced into child labour, or recruited as child soldiers, robbing them of their lives. Child marriage and domestic abuse have high rates, too.
For these reasons, over two million children have also missed out on education and learning opportunities to lead them to a better life. Schools have been closed, and education has been disrupted due to several factors, which leaves children vulnerable and more likely to end up in harm's way.
Malnutrition and lack of food is a big reason for the death of babies and children across the country, and this can be solved with your help.
Nowhere is safe for children in Yemen, which is why UKIM is on a mission to provide safety and support to children and those who need it. They are in need of food, clean water and medical supplies, and you can be the one to provide this by donating to our appeal.
You can support our brothers and sisters in Yemen by, first and foremost, including them in your duas.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in a hadith: “You will not believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself.” “The believers are like one body in their mutual love and affection: if one limb is injured, the rest responds with sleeplessness and fever.”
You can also educate people about the situation in Yemen to encourage others to donate and support in any way they can. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action” (Muslim).
You can also take action yourself to provide material support to them by donating to our Yemen Crisis Appeal.
Our teams have been active on the ground in Yemen, distributing life-saving food, clean water, and other essential supplies. Please offer your support by donating today.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Protect yourself from hellfire even by giving a piece of date as charity.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said, “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
Donate to Yemen here. May your donations weigh heavy on your scales and greatly help those in Yemen. Ameen.
