MOSQUES: ESSENTIAL CENTERS OF COMMUNITY AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Situated at the heart of every Muslim community around the world, mosques are in place for prayer and repentance, for worship and solace, and a safe space that cradles a community in times of joy and sorrow.

One of the first acts of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) upon arriving in Medina was to build a mosque. You too can follow these same footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and donate to build a mosque, a place of worship for you and others to pray in.

To date, UK Islamic Mission have established a total of fifty mosques across the UK, from up north in Glasgow to down south in Portsmouth.

UKIM will continue to provide these vital community centres for Muslims to come together and worship Allah"

UK Mosque Project

We aim to make our mosques open and welcoming to all, opening the doors to non-Muslims, providing the opportunity for any member of the local community to visit and learn about Islam.

UK Islamic Mission Mosque Projects UK

Every mosque operated by UK Islamic Mission has facilities in place for sisters. As the UK’s Muslim population is growing, the demand for ladies and young women wanting a space for worship in the mosque is also increasing.

As a result of this demand for expansion, we currently have new mosques under construction in Leeds, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Nelson in Lancashire, Tyseley, and Boston in Lincolnshire.

Building a Mosque is a Form of Sadaqah Jariyah

Sadaqah Jariyah is a form of charity that never stops. The reward for this kind of charity continues even after you leave this world. Contributing to building a mosque means that for every time someone will remember Allah in the space that you helped build, you will gain the reward.

It has been narrated that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim]
